Hi, I’m Oluwatimi Owoturo. Full time Frontend Developer, part time gamer and a full time nerd.

I'm a curious and imaginative person at heart. I started working with computers very early in my life say when I was 7 years old. My initial interest came from gaming. I remember always asking to play online games on the computer at home. My mum will use dial up internet to connect to the internet. From there, I became interested in tinkering. I started to learn how to take computers apart and put them together, install the operating system and all the device drivers. Little did I know I will end up studying something related to computers and end up being a developer.

My first application I built was when I was 17, it was a fairly easy application to build. An RSS reader which pulled news from different sources about Arsenal FC the premier league club. The application was built using C# and was published on the Microsoft Store. Gaining about 5000+ downloads in its lifetime.

I spent the next few years from 2016 to 2020 studying Computer Engineering at uOttawa. I really wanted to end up working a hardware engineering job designing computer chips and architectures but ultimately ended up falling in love with the software side of things. During university, I learned various technologies. Web development using Angular, React, iOS Development, backend, and even tried my luck at some game development. Ultimately, web development is where I ended up in and I absolutely love every minute of it.

Today, I am currently working as a Senior Frontend Developer at Shopify Inc, the best ecommerce platform to ever exist. I absolutely love what I do at Shopify. When I am not working on Webby stuff, you can find me gaming, learning a new skill, or just hanging out with my furry pets and watching tv.
